did you know...
Preparing for Christmas can be a little hectic for some, but rest assured that there are plenty of things you can do to help you relax and keep it stress-free.
Our top 3 tips for keeping calm this Christmas
Enjoy this festive season without the worry and pressure of having to prepare your home, gifts and food in time for the holidays.
- Keep some time for you Whether you've got a house full of guests this Christmas or if you've got an endless list of presents to wrap, sometimes all the preparation can seem a little over-whelming. Make sure you give yourself a moment each day to do something for yourself, whether it's reading a good book for 20 minutes, having a hot bath before bed or going for a walk, you'll feel more recharged and ready to conquer all the Christmas preparation.
- Make lists There are so many things to remember around Christmas that it's hard to keep track of what presents you've wrapped, who's buying the turkey and who's making the mince pies! Writing lists is a great way of keeping your mind focussed and organised and also gives you a sense of satisfaction as you begin to tick items off.
- Share the load It's sometimes hard to trust others with tasks when you know exactly the way you want something to be done. However, getting everyone involved can be really rewarding, be it letting the children lay the table or sending your other half out with a shopping list, it will help you relieve some of the pressure and let others feel part of the occasion.
